Then you’ll have seen that i posted a progress picture a few nights ago, one that really scared the shit out of me posting, i questioned deleting it when i posted it as i was so scared. Its a full side on stomach progress picture, my stomach is my biggest problem (Excuse the pun), ive never been skinny skinny, only ever slimish so in my eyes, when i first put the pictures together, i didnt really see that much progress until people pointed out to me just how much i had lost between the 2 pictures. Now that im comfortable with the picture having been on Instagram for every Tom, Dick & Harry to see, im posting it here too.

11406669_743072802467900_4209718842359360064_nThe picture has made me determined to get that last 2 stone off, i am serious about modelling but i dont want to be a stick to be thin enough for people to be like “Damn, she was fat before, she’s banging” (You like my impression of how guys talk now? ;p). I purely want to do modelling to feel good about myself, to feel sexy (Something ive never felt), show people who have bullied me in the past that im better than that & to 1) get my artwork seen (My legs are all tattooed by me) & 2) My amazing tattooists work seen as his work deserves so much recognition as he is stupidly talented & he’s fucking awesome!

Again i will mention, I only ever use licensed, tested products for my weight loss. At this current moment in time, & for the near future, the only products i will use is Protein Worlds CLA Powder, Protein Worlds Chocolate Whey Protein Powder, Holland & Barrett Aloe Vera Colon Cleanse, Waist trainers & good old fashioned calorie counting!

Latex Waist Training – A Review

Unless you’ve been living under a rock then you’ve no doubt heard about waist training. I believe Kim Kardashian first started the craze (BTW i cant STAND the Kardashians so i didnt get the inspiration through them!). I found waist training on Instagram, i love Instagram as i love getting peoples opinions etc on how im doing plus id love to inspire people to take up a healthy life style & to go about it the safe way. Now, not only do i love Protein World & their products, i now LOVE latex waist trainers! I was sceptic at first but however much weight i lost, my muffin tops werent disappearing as much as i liked so i queried an instagram account about waist training. Turns out they flatten muffin tops!

I ordered my first one 2 weeks ago, a size 12-14. With waist trainers, you measure your natural waist line (2cm’s above your belly button) in inches & compare to the suppliers sizing chart. Mine came up as 12-14 & is long enough to go over my muffin tops as im 5ft 9″ & have a longer body. I didnt expect quick results, i thought it may take 4 weeks or so to see some progress. I got my waist trainer the day after ordering it (Good old ebay!), i ordered a sports latex waist trainer for £16.99 including P&P & got it in pink (Because im a girlie girl innit). I began wearing the waist trainer from the time i got up to the time i went to bed, when taking it off at night i applied cocoa butter to give my skin a bit of care as your torso does get warm under the latex (Especially when used for the gym!) plus i need to shift some horrible old stretch marks! 2 weeks into wearing the waist training 12 hours straight, i needed the next size down as i was on the last hooks & it had gotten too big. So i went back to the same seller i got my bigger one from, ordered a size 10 – 12 purple waist trainer, again turned up the next day (Which i LOVED). Im now 2 days into wearing it, first time applying of it was a work out in itself but today it was easy to put on. Hopefully in a week i can progress onto the 2nd hooks & the week after that go onto the 3rd hooks, wear for one week & then go onto an 8-10…Yeah i know, an 8-10! Ive never been an 8 or a 10! In all ive lost 4″ off my waist, i havent measured the rest of me. I’ll do it at some point!

So if youre like me & a smidge sceptical then dont be, they really do work but you need to wear them for a long time to get permanent results. Also if you’re going to be using a waist trainer for exercise then make sure to get a sports one!

I Know I know, BAAAAD Miss Mortem!

Yes i know! Im so shit with keeping upto date with my blog but ive been so focused on my weightloss goals, taxidermy & my fella being ill that this blog has been so far off my mind!

So my last blog entry i was 12st 9lbs on 17th May, im now 12st 1lb with 11st 13lb flickering up on my scales before my final weight is displayed. Considering i had a week off from the gym & had a mega cheat day for mine & my fellas 1 year anniversary (OOOH MY GOD Frankie & Bennies garlic bread, spaghetti & meatballs followed by a dairy milk mcflurry was seriously good) then i havent done too bad.

Why have i been so focused on my goals? Well as ive mentioned before, at the beginning of July, im taking a trip to Lakeside to the mahoosive Primark to get all new clothes (I have no jeans as they’re too big & even my elasticated leggings are starting to fall down). So my goal weight is 10st so i have 2st 1lb to go, i know i wont be 10stone by the beginning of July but im going to give it a good shot. My Fitness Pal says i should be 10st 12lbs by then which isnt far off. Plus its much more fun to get out & about for exercise in the warmer months then in the winter!

So my taxidermy, yup as gruesome as it is, ive been busy with that. Now that the weather is warm then im getting alot more casualties. In the past week ive managed to find 1 rook, 2 wood pigeons & a hedgehog, which were killed by road casualties & are now safely stashed in my taxidermy freezer. Oh yeah, i should mention that i also go bone hunting down the local beaches, ive found some really awesome stuff & alot of it at that but um…. i found human remains. GOD DAMN HUMAN REMAINS! It was an intact lower jaw bone of a young man, it still had 5 pearly white teeth. At first when i spotted the slither of bone, it looked like the sharp edge of a vertabrae so went to pull it up & out comes this jaw with pearly teeth. Of course the police were called, as interesting as it was, it needed to be handed into the right people. The police came down & took the jaw as evidence along with a few vertabrae, some ribs & some fragments of skull, they’ve been sent off to the crime investigation unit who will date it, if its within living memory then an investigation will be launched but with the history of where i live, its more likely to be a war casualty. If it is & they can identify it, i hope it can put a families mind at peace so they know what happened to their loved one.

Bad miss Mortem!

Ugh, admittedly i abandoned my blog over the last week or so, even though im still dead set on my diet & goals, i just havent been in the right head space to blog & ive been really into my taxidermy this past week, warm weather brings out the furries that get hit by cars 😦 I managed to find a perfectly intact Hare near where i live, huge bugger so he took a while to skin & mount

Lets have a catch up shall we. Well, great news, im now down to 12st 9lb which seems to have just fallen off me in a few days. My scales went from showing me at 12st 11lb to 12st 9lb overnight. Now ive lost 29lbs in total since late January & i feel seriously good. Some days i do have ‘fat days’ where i look at myself in the mirror & still see myself as big as when i first started out. I have changed some of my routine though, i no longer take Raspberry Ketones, i liked that they supressed hunger pangs but i didnt see as much progress with them as i would have liked so i stopped them. I also take Psyillium husks sparingly now as the Aloe Vera colon cleanse works much better. So to recap i now take one scoop of CLA Powder in a 1.5litre bottle of summer fruits squash which lasts me all day & i take Aloe Vera colon cleanse before bed. Oh & i take the Protein World chocolate Whey powder but i have one serving of it 30mins after a workout at the gym just to repair my muscles so i dont take it everyday, only gym days.

Earlier this week i posted progress pictures on twitter (Twitter.com/TattooHeroine) & Instagram (Search Hannah Mortem) & included @proteinworld in my tweet. I was pretty chuffed with the response it got & the amount of favourites, it boosted my confidence even more as i was a bit hesistant of posting a more revealing progress pictures. Wanna see it?

The response has been so positive, im really proud of myself. So the above is what you can achieve if you eat clean, calorie count & exercise. I will get back onto daily diary entries from tomorrow onwards, ive been very clever with my calorie counting & being able to eat the slightly naughty stuff i love!

Are you beach body ready?

2805719600000578-3062882-image-a-39_1430416969659 This week, Protein World hit the headlines because of this advert, they pretty much got ripped to shreds in the daily mail. Personally i dont see the big deal in why this ad has caused so much fuss & this is why….

First off, i dont see this advert as promoting annorexia or eating disorders as its been made out to be doing. The model is skinny & toned but in no way annorexic, she just has a well maintained gym bunny body. Personally i would like to see a woman advertising the brand with a bit more curve to her body so it seems alot more achievable for people like myself. I feel like her body is a bit more achieveable if you start off relatively small anyway. Even when i was a bigger girl, i still wouldnt have seen this advert as offensive or telling me i HAVE to be skinny, its simply showing what you can achieve if you work hard enough at it & maintain your body. No Offence to the model, she is beautiful & has an amazing body, but i dont want to look like her & heres why… im 5ft 11″ & have big hips & if i was that skinny, i’d look like a lolly pop plus i love my occasional chocolate treat to much! What i do want to look like is a size 10 with a flat stomach but with some much needed curves or what i like to call ‘Cupcake tops’ instead of Muffin tops. I love Protein Worlds products, i love everything they stand for & i love their service, hell i should be a spokesperson for them instead of the ones out of TOWIE (notice i cant name any of the TOWIE lot because i cant fucking stand them). I think its great that this ‘Controversial ad’ has bought in more sales for Protein World because their products do what they say on the tin instead of this bullshit you get with other companies that leave you a jibbering wreck & starving with little progress to show for it.

If you feel the protein world advert promotes annorexia or eating disorders then what do more high street store ad campaigns promote? I think most of the ‘controversy’ surrounding this advert is just for people to have a whinge about, to get on their high horse about. I do have to wonder if people just complain about it because they have nothing better to do.

I am all for girls in every size, your body is beautiful at any size, If you chose to get up & do something about your muffin tops then good on you! If you dont then good on you too! If you want to lose a good amount of weight, keep it off & then maintain your weight then you’ll pretty much be in the mindset to do it, protein world products or not!

I ventured to the gym this morning with Mama Mortem, pretty sure i died in the process. I do wish i could run or jog as it’d make my weightloss journey that little bit quicker. Ive decided im going to start going swimming this week, it’ll be an easier workout on my joints than battling away at the gym. Last time i went swimming, which has to be a good 5+ years ago, i ended up dislocating all my fingers from the pressure of the water when i did strokes. Im hoping if it happens again then i can better manage as the last time it happened, i gave up swimming altogether. I do really have the bug for horse riding, i used to go as a kid & absoloutley loved out, now i question if my spine would tolerate the ‘jarred’ movement. Plus where i live is surrounded by farms with horses in the paddocks which makes my bug a bit more heightened.

I had an appointment with my hairdresser today & she couldnt believe how much different i looked, gave me a mahoosive boost considering i felt like curling up in a ball & sleeping for 24hours.

So theres one thing you will come to notice with my progress shots…. i have ALOT of tattoos. My leg sleeves are all done by myself (See, im batshit), my lower left arm is done by myself & all my others are done by my extremely talented Tattooist who has a studio in Clacton, Essex.

Once ive hit my goal & i have the flat tummy im after then i will post the shots that show my stomach, right now i dont feel 100% Body confident enough to post them publically!

In those 10 days i managed to drop 4lbs in water weight which had everyone commenting on how much weight i had lost even though i felt like i hadnt lost that much.

I think by this time i had lost alot of weight from my back as i had a large back piece in progress whilst on my first month of the diet & from all the pictures of progress that had been made on my back, you could see more & more back fat Betty being banished!

At this point my arms were starting to get more toned, i had lost 6 ” off my waist & my muffin tops were getting smaller, the pad of flab underneath my boobs had gone down which left my bra being loose even on the tighted clasp.

My Muffin tops are dramatically smaller, ive gone down a cup size, lost a full 9″ off my waist & can no longer wear any of the jeans in my wardrobe as when i put them on, its like wearing clown pants. Ive told myself i am not buying any clothes until the end of June when i should be close to my goal of 11st 10lbs. At the end of June i have planned a trip with the fella to Lakeside Shopping centre as they have a MAHOOSIVE Primark. I love Primark & their clothes, I dont own a single designer piece of fashion nor any of these bullshit over priced handbags. I think the most ‘high end’ piece of my wardrobe is a Hell Bunny toxic love prom dress that i bought from Brighton Tattoo Convention in 2013 for the staggering price of £25. So all my clothes that dont fit from the end of June will be donated to St Helena’s hospice charity shop.

I went to the gym with the boyfriend last night & it totally kicked my arse, like big time. Normally gym will tire me out but last night was just stupid but im not sure if its because ive had my daily pain medication switched up or if it was because of pigging out on a Chinese Takeaway followed by Strawberry trifle on Wednesday night with my family…. never before have i gotten tired just eating a chinese. Safe to say last night i got home, went to go to brush my teeth for bed & ended up vomiting up the shower wall & then proceeded to tell my boyfriend that i was Jesus for doing just that.

How to make the mushroom ‘Pizza’; remove the central stalk of the large mushroom, slice mozerella thinly & place inside mushroom’s centre. Heat oven to 180 (fan oven) & place on a baking tray in the middle of the oven, cook for 25 – 30 minutes & serve. The Mushroom ‘pizza’ is perfect to have for lunch as its nice & filling plus it tastes lush!

Take asda pizza base (Or like mine it’ll come broken so you ‘glue’ it back together with tomato puree) & spread a thin layer of tomato puree onto the base. Cut up mozerella & place in the centre of the pizza, take grated cheese & sprinkle all over the outside of the pizza, add other toppings onto the pizza. Set fan oven to 180 & bake for 10minutes for a perfect healthy pizza.

Weight Loss Supplements

fr_238_size880So i figured id make this post to highlight that whilst i do clean eating to help me get to my goal, i also take supplements. Each day i will log & photograph healthy meals & whatever random shit my brain comes up with & upload them at about 8 ‘o’ clock each night so my whole days stuff is in one complete post but the items above are what i take everyday without fail so if i dont mention them, its logged here.

The low down of all the pretty bottles & packets above;

Holland & Barrett Psyllium Husks pill form.

If you’ve read my previous posts then you’ll know i took Protein Worlds Psyllium husks mixed in with slender blends, whilst they did work, the consistency of the husks in a shake made me stomach lurch a bit (Yet i can skin a dead animal without any hesistation, go figure!). I substituted the raw husks with Holland & Barretts pill form. You take 2 pills 30-60mins before food 3 times a day, easy peasy.

Holland & Barrett Raspberry Ketones & Green Coffee Bean.

Raspberry ketones have been widely discussed & debated about if they really do help aid weight loss or if they are simply a placebo. I decided to research Ketones, read both sides of the debates & decided to get them from Holland & Barrett. Theres many many dodgy websites offering raspberry ketones so i thought i’d go with Hollands & barretts instead (I now have a H&B addiction). Im not sure how much weightloss i can put down to them but i can definetly say they help suppress hunger pangs. You simply take one in the morning with breakfast & then one with lunch but DONT take them after 3pm or you will not get to sleep at night due to caffeine content. When i used Protein Worlds ‘Fat Burners’ (See previous posts) & went upto 2 tablets twice a day, my blood pressue shot up & i could hear my heart pounding in my ears & they did make me feel squiffy (Oh so British!). The H&B ketones dont give me any of those side effects.

Holland & Barrett Aloe Vera Colon Clense

With Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, poor digestion comes hand in hand with it. Ask anyone who has EDS & they will agree with me. Due to varying degrees of pain medication, my digestion is pretty bad. So the colon cleanse & Psyllium husks seem to keep my digestion moving whilst my body adjusts to clean eating. The colon cleanse is pretty much what it says on the label without being graphic. Take one before bed.

Protein World Whey Powder – Chocolate Flavour

Protein whilst dieting is highly important & helps with weightloss. I dont really eat home cooked chicken as i find it really dry, plus i was eating roast chicken for sunday dinner & my jaw dislocated whilst mid mouthful & i ended up in A&E getting it put back in so now im scarred for life by roast chicken. So how can i get protein into my diet? I again researched (Yeah, that thing again) whey protein & thought that might make up the bulk of Protein i need in my diet so i went with Protein Worlds chocolate Whey powder & it seems to be doing the job nicely (Can you tell i like Protein World?). On days that i go to the gym, i have a shake 30 minutes after my workout to feed my muscles aswell as reaching my protein goal. Plus if you take whey protein after a workout & you have EDS or any other joint condition like myself, it helps with making me ache less the next day. On the days i dont go to the gym, i have a shake with my breakfast just to kick start my body for the day ahead. I definetly recommend any of Protein Worlds chocolate powder products as the chocolate is lush!

Protein World CLA Powder & L-tyrosine

If you’ve read my previous review of Protein World products then you’ll know i accredit most of my weightloss to PW’s CLA Powder, its like magic powder. When i get up, i make up a large 1.5litre bottle of ‘0% sugar’ orange squash to make sure i drink fluids throughout the day (Its easier to measure it in a large 1.5litre bottle). I dont like the taste of water, that sounds utterly stupid, so i stick to ‘no added sugar’ squash. I mix in one half of a yellow scoop (PW send you yellow scoops with your order) of CLA powder into the squash & a small bit of L-Tyrosine so my body gets a release of CLA all throughout the day & the L-Tyrosine works with the Whey powder.

So all the above products i use on a daily basis with success. The one thing i would stress to use whilst dieting is a website called My Fitness Pal. I bow down to My Fitness Pal for the 10 pounds ive lost since stopping the Slender Blend shakes. With My Fitness Pal, you make a profile (Its completely free) & you pick how much you want to lose a week (It has a maximum of a healthy 2lb weight loss a week), what kind of life style you have, your height, your weight & your goal weight. It takes all these into account & gives you a set of Targets for Calories, Carbs, Fat, Protein, Sodium & Sugar. All you need to do is input exactly what you eat & drink (Most food items are on their database including British items) throughout the day & it’ll calculate the food items Calories, carbs etc & if you’re within your recommended guideline, above or below whilst giving you a little tagline when you complete your days eating that shows you how much weight you would lose in 5 weeks if you ate the same food you ate that day, everyday. It means you do need to weigh everything you eat & estimate, when i first started using MFP, i sat on my sofa & made the *UUUUGH* noise knowing id have to weigh stuff but now i naturally weigh food items & log them. Oh i should also mention a rather awesome thing the Iphone App version has…. a barcode scanner which you place over the barcode on the food item & it finds it in their database & logs it for you, you can see automatically the health contents of the food (Its awesome to use whilst shopping!).

So that basically is it, the above pictured supplements & My Fitness Pal are the things i continually use for weightloss & still see massive differences every single day.
